SFU’s New SE3P Building Celebrates a Construction Milestone
Key team members from Revery were delighted to attend a May 3rd barbecue event at SFU’s Surrey campus to celebrate the topping out of its new Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering Building (SE3P), one of Revery’s major projects that is nearing the end of construction and set to open later this year. Among the musicians performing at the event was Revery’s own Technical Principal, Shinobu Homma, who captivated the audience with his powerful performance on traditional Japanese Taiko drum. As Shinobu explains, in Japan and many other countries, when the roof structure of a building is complete (i.e. tops out), it is traditionally a time for the whole community to gather together and celebrate this significant milestone in its construction.
