The Place of Mountains
Banff National Park Visitor Centre
Tasked with reimagining the outdated visitor centre in the heart of Banff and establishing a new gateway to the parks – Revery envisioned spaces where stories are told, where generations of locals and visitors gather to learn and celebrate this place, and where the connection with the land and its history manifests itself architecturally.
Defined by anchoring mountains, cultural footprints, and vibrant ecosystems – the rivers, wildlife, and people of the Bow Valley move in continual rhythm, inspiring forms that adapt, flow, and harmonize with the land.
Envisioned as a Living Land Legacy – Revery’s holistic approach to the site integrates architecture, urban design, landscape, interiors, sustainability, heritage conservation and cultural resonance into a cohesive urban language that reflects Banff’s true character and reinvigorates its inner spirit.
We respect and honour the traditional lands of the Treaty 7 Nations – the Blackfoot Confederacy, comprised of Siksika, Kainai, Piikani Nations; the Îyârhe Nakoda, consisting of the Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney First Nations; and Tsuut’ina – as well as the Métis Nation of Alberta, District 4, and the Ktunaxa and Secwépemc peoples.
